the more we linger in our dreams, the harder it becomes to know what’s real.
Nothing’s ever quite as it appears.
With every day that begins, I wonder if I’ve awoken to the world, or to another dream.
Threading softly, I am seized by pale impressions, carried away unintentionally by the wonders of the mind.
What is this place, what lies behind ?
It’s curiously calm out here.
In the blink of an eye, I find myself elsewhere.
On the verge of reality, where the intangible threshold between sleep and lucidity slips from my grasp.
The unconscious at play, perhaps.
This mysterious in-between world.
In mid half-sleep, slumber and wakefulness, where clarity fades into vagueness and the imprecise reigns.
I can feel it on the tips of my fingers and toes. I can feel it in my veins.
Still, how can I be sure this isn’t real life?
